What a great little park. Perfect for a couple of overnights while traveling through. It's clean and quiet with wide grassy sites. The laundry was clean and tidy and the WiFi works great. There are no amenities so this isn't the place to hang out with kids but for a short stay to visit the Corn Palace, I give it a very high rating and we definitely would return here.

This is a great park. Convenient location off I-90. Wifi works great. Rooftop satellite works great. Nice, roomy sites with turkeys roaming all around. The laundry facilities are terrific. The owners are very nice and worked hard to get us into a site where our satellite would work. After paying $35 at Devil's Tower View electric only site last nite, I can't believe we're only paying $38 for this wonderful campground. We would definitely stay here again.

I agree with what everyone else has said about this beautiful park. We stopped here to take the tour of the Winnebago plant and were the only ones in the park. We could have stayed up at the Winnebago Visitor Center for free so those coming to the city for the tour might want to consider that option. Electric is all that is offered and our cell could get us online but in the roam mode so it was slow. We probably won't return to this lovely city since our reason was to take the tour but I'd recommend the park to others coming for a different reason.

I guess campgrounds in Devil's Tower are expensive. This campground has only electric, the sites have quite a downward slant and the high price all add up to a lower rating. It's very small and we're the only people camped here tonight. I think if I were visiting this area again, I would plan my night stop somewhere else, perhaps Buffalo. Way overpriced but less expensive than the KOA at the base of Devil's Tower. I don't plan to stay here again.

When we look for a campground, we want it to be pretty close to the highway exit, clean and quiet, feel safe, is fairly priced, has a site that's not cramped and one so our rooftop satellite works, and our cell (VZ) works well enough to get us online and to make calls. We don't want campgrounds with amenities or luxury features. We're usually just travelers so the features noted above are important to us. If a campground meets all these requirements, it'll get a high rating from me. That said, the TeePee gets a pretty good rating. They only reason it's not higher is that we're kinda sandwiched in between 2 other coaches due to the fact all her full hookups are clumped together. The rest of the park has spacious sites. The lady in the office is wonderful and very helpful in answering our many questions about Rapid City. The location is great for seeing the city, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Wind Cave NP. We stayed 3 nights for $28 and got the 4th for free. We'd stay here again but I'd try for a non-full hookup so we could have a bigger site.

One of the nicest campgrounds we've ever stayed at. The sites are large and everyone has lots of room. Easy to access and quiet. We're about 9 miles from Charleston and the only negative is the busy Highway 17 you have to drive but on the bright side, you have everything you need within an easy driving distance. We would gladly stay here again when visiting Charleston.

We love staying here when visiting the Fredericksburg area. It has a lot of things for families...a lake for fishing and a swimming pool... and hence the higher KOA price for that. It has many wooded and clear sites and is very quiet and beautiful. The WiFi is free but doesn't work real well so that dropped the rating. We've stayed here about 4 times and will continue to do so when visiting this part of Virginia.

We love this little park and have stayed here numerous times while driving through Texas. It's small, is an easy walking distance into Van Horn, you don't have to unhook, the electricity is reliable, the office is cordial and downright Western-friendly, and the price is fair. It's a great stop-over park and we will return again. It's a no-frills park but it serves you well.

Great location off the interstate, friendly, and large, spacious, clean sites at a fair price. This is the first time we've stayed here traveling up I-81 through western Virginia and would stay here again. Great for an overnight and for a longer stay as well.

We workamped here for July and August and I have to say it's one of the prettiest campgrounds I've ever stayed in. The upper campground, where we stayed, is Crooked River Campground and has huge sites with gorgeous trees. The campgrounds at the bottom of the canyon, Deschutes, are very near the water. Heavily used by boaters. Family campground. Watched over carefully by the Rangers and just all round wonderful place in the High Desert of Central Oregon. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because the campsites don't have sewer hookups but there is a dump station. Cell phones connections (Verizon) are spotty. Oregon parks are wonderful and I heartily recommend the Crooked River Campground.

We've stayed at this park several times and it's very neat and tidy. Full of rules, etc., just like everyone else has noted. Our site was the last one closest to the highway and it was extremely noisy and busy. But the one annoying new rule I noticed this time was the exclusion of malamutes including mixed breed. Having owned such a dog who was a therapy dog to boot and to think she would not have been allowed, ruffles my feathers big time. I have to add that I heard a lot of "yapping" of the little dogs. But I guess that doesn't annoy him!! We'll stay at Greer's Pine Shadows across the street next time where everyone is welcome.

We stayed here mostly on positive recommendations posted here. I must say we were a little disappointed. Our site was very uneven and we were unable to get level with our jacks. It's also quite a drive back into Cortez and for visiting nearby historic sites. Too much driving so picking this location was a mistake for us. Next time I would choose a park closer in town...maybe the Sundance RV Park which looked nice.

This is a beautiful grassy KOA in the heart of Gunnison. Friendly, helpful staff and immaculate restrooms and showers. Pet friendly with a new enclosed pet run. Quiet and safe and in a pastoral setting. It's close to the airport but plane noise is not a problem. There's an ethernet hookup in the office and also the WiFi works at the office. Hopefully the WiFi will be parkwide next year. Verizon cell phones work great. About the only thing (other than not having an internet connection in our coach) I'd like to see changed is to widen the space between the sites. Some of the sites position you too close to your neighbor. I'd highly recommend visiting Gunnison and staying at the KOA here. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night on the way to Gunnison on Highway 50. It was easy to get to and in a lovely rural setting. The sites were a little uneven. Satellite TV worked good at our site (we requested a site for it) but our Verizon phones were "No service" so we had no internet access or cell phone use. However, a quick trip back into Canon City provided us with a signal. We might check out the other parks in the area (they all looked nice) to see if they had cell phone service. Otherwise, we'd stay here again for an overnighter. And the price was sure fair.

We stopped here for an overnighter (on I-25) and found it very acceptable. The sites are behind the motel and we were offered a continental breakfast in the morning. Nice. Everything was exceedingly convenient and easy to access. A wonderful Mexican restaurant to walk to, fill-up with gas right on the corner, and 5 minutes from the historic town of Trinidad. Yes, the sites were not level but we had lots of elbow room and a grassy lawn. We would stay here again for an overnighter but probably not for a longer term. I think these kinds of parks are great for they fill a niche for a fair price for RVers who just need a safe place to be for the night.

We stayed here for an overnight and found it very clean and quiet. With Passport it only costs $7. McDonalds and Taco Bell a stone's throw away and not far off the interstate. We got a pull-thru and we fit fine but our neighbors are VERY close. It's tight and close quarters but very doable. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, including their pet kitty who greets everyone. We would stay here again for an overnight and recommend it as a very good overnighter park.

This park is in a great location for seeing and doing things in the city. It's quiet and near the Galleria Shopping Mall and has easy access to the Boulder Highway. My lower rating is due to 3 things: 1) Our satellite TV wouldn't work. However, others got theirs to work by switching over to Channel 4. Ours is locked at Channel 3 so the picture was full of static. The local TV station reception wasn't that good either. No cable. 2)The office wasn't always conveniently open. 3)We took a back-in space and we're kinda packed in like sardines. They are at an angle which means we all aren't looking into each other coaches but again, it's very tight and basically asphalt parking. Utilitarian and practical. Good news: We got a phone line into the coach so getting onto the internet was nice and easy. This is a great place to be with a pet because right across the street are huge grassy soccer fields. We'd probably stay here again but also would probably look into staying at Sam's Town Nellis Park, which was our first choice but was full due to NASCAR races.

We enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful roomy site on one of the top terraced rows. A magnificent view of the city for a fair price. Our Sat TV worked but no internet in the coach unless we used our Verizon cell phone. The fast National Access number runs right down the middle of Rt. 95 so sometimes it was fast and sometimes it wasn't. One other observation: The washer-dryers seemed to be a bit old but I don't know how well they worked. The resort was peaceful and clean and we would certainly stay here again. The other site we considered. AVI Resort, seems to be quite a bit out of town so we were happy to be right in the middle of Laughlin. We were also a close drive to the petroglyphs in Grapevine Canyon and enjoyed a 24 mile trip into Needles, CA.

This is a nice, clean, friendly park that is also a horse motel! It has a nice store, easy to get propane, and a new laundry. The roads were wide and easy to navigate. Lots of places to hitch up. Easy to get on and off I-40 and behind a Petro so it's close to get gas and grab a bite to eat. About 15 miles south of Kingman. They have Wifi for $4.95 a day (Flying J service) and that will be the only way you can get on the internet. It seems Kingman is all blocked out for Earthlink or AOL users by the local telephone company. So while this park offers a phone line on site I didn't see any reason to get it. The owners were very upfront about the problem and said unless we had a local access number with the phone, you can't get online. So I asked if Verizon cell phones worked here and he said, "No." It appears other cells work but not Verizon. The price was very reasonabe and they honored our Escapees card for the reduced rate. I'd sure consider staying here for a stopver but not long term because of the online difficulty and the non-working cell phone situation.

This is a very nice park. Even during the Snowbird season they honored our Passport and kocked off $5 on the daily $29 rate. We had no telephone hookups but were able to use our Verizon cell phone to get on the internet. While we're 32' long, I was a little shocked at the tight turn into the park off the main road (they even put up a stonewall in the middle to make it more exciting). The roads in the park are narrow and the turns are a bit tight. The sites are about the usual width but with 2 big 5th wheels beside me with their slideouts engaged, it feels a little cramped. This park is loaded with park models and seems to be more of a full-time winter place and not so much a motor home spot. It's got a great location and the staff is very friendly. The park is also clean and tidy. Since we couldn't get a phone hookup for our stay and since the roads and sites are a bit narrow, I'd probably look at staying at another park in Apache Junction on my next stay.

I agree with everything the other reviewers have said about this park. We stayed for 2 days while touring Kingman and ghost town Chloride and the burros in Oatman. A great location and easy access. The owners were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming. All owners should be like them. My only complaint as a short-timer is the lack of ability to get online in your coach. This is a Kingman area problem from what I understand. The local phone company blocks out Earthlink and AOL users. Those staying longer can get DSL service at their site for about $30 plus the dish cost. The owner also thought AOL's 800 number works for users. It's enough of a problem that I wouldn't want to stay here very long. Oh, if you have a Verizon cell, the phone signal is great for calls but you're in an Extended Network so your phone can't be used to get on the Internet either. All said, this is a wonderful park and very fairly priced and large sites making it a definite stopping point for us again in the future. I sure hope whoever is keeping this a "dead spot" for getting online easily will see the light and bring the service for everyone traveling through the area.
